The high level conference for the development of information society was held in Tirana in the period 6-8 November 2011, in the framework of E-SEE, organized by the Office of the Albanian Minister for Innovation and ICT, Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) and UNDP. Present in this conference was also the Prime Minister Mr. Sali BERISHA. Speaking on the importance of holding this conference in Tirana, the Prime Minister Berisha stated that “digital technology is in many respects the Archimedes screw to overcome time, to make up for the time lost, to provide the best services for citizens, but also to set transparency at the foundation of our activity as the condition of all conditions for a good governance”.
The Prime Minister Berisha said that this year in the state budget has been foreseen, as one of its primary trend, the support of digital Albania. Furthermore, the Prime Minister stated that the government is working for the realization of all commitments of partnership initiative for an open government and has by now made fundamental progress.
